The day and time of when you drive can significantly impact how many trips you complete and how much you earn. Shift Scope is designed to help you identify the best days and times to drive based off your driving goal. Similar to Prime Pickup, Shift Scope is powered by data from over 4 million rideshare trips taken in Chicago between May 1-14 in 2023 and 2024 to best capture trends relevant to this time of year.
Use the drop-down below to select your goal, and then use the table to find the most optimal shift. Larger values will appear in a darker red, helping you spot them quickly.
The tool may take 1-2 minutes to load due to the large volume of data being processed.
Note: In the earnings calculations, it is assumed that 100% of the fare and tip goes to the driver.

Earnings per Min ($)
The amount of money earned, on average, for every minute of driving. Use this to find the day/times that are most time-efficient.
Earnings per Mile ($)
The amount of money earned, on average, for every mile of driving. Use this to find the day/times that maximize the amount of money going into your pocket while minimizing the wear and tear on your vehicle.
Earnings per Trip ($)
The average amount of money earned per completed trip. Use this to find the day/times with the highest paying trips.
Time per Trip (s)
The average amount of time (in minutes) each trip takes. Use this if your goal is to complete as many trips as possible.
Miles per Trip
The average amount of miles each trip takes. Use this if your goal is to minimize the amount of miles you drive.
